Emily Anstey was initiated into the Eta Gamma Chapter of Tau Beta Sigma at Boston University in December of 2010 as a member of the Alpha Iota (Robot) class. During her time at BU, Emily played alto sax and was section leader in the Boston University Marching and Pep Bands. On a chapter level Emily served as Chapter President and Secretary. On the District Level, Emily served as NED Vice President of Membership (2012-13) and District President (2013-14).
Emily is a Life Member of the Eta Gamma Chapter of Tau Beta Sigma and an Honorary Member of the Iota Alpha Chapter of Tau Beta Sigma at Marist College. She has been a member of the Northeast District Alumni Association (NEDAA) and the Tau Beta Sigma Alumni Association since her graduation in May 2013. She is proud to be a Gold Star Club member of the Tau Beta Sigma Alumni Association (TBSAA) and a member of the 1946 Club. Emily has continued her service to the sorority as a member of the Board of Trustees Scholarship committee. She served as the Secretary for the NEDAA from 2015 to 2017. She is the current Sponsor of the Eta Gamma Chapter of Tau Beta Sigma.
Emily completed her BA with double majors in History and Classical Languages from Boston University. She completed her Master’s degree in Museum Education from Tufts University. Professionally, Emily has worked and interned at many institutions including the Tsongas Industrial History Center, the USS Constitution Museum, Museum of Science Boston, Museum of Fine Arts Boston. Currently she is employed as a Park Ranger at Lowell National Historical Park.
Outside the sorority, Emily is involved with the New England Museum Association, Local community initiatives in her city, and plays in her church band. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, visiting museums, and watching hockey. Emily currently lives in Lowell, MA with her long time boyfriend, Andrew, and their cat, Clio.
